PanasonicPanasonic Lumix DMC-FX35 review : The number of ultra compact digital cameras has grown considerably over the past few years. At the time, Casio took the initiative with the Exilim Card models to produce flat models and nearly every manufacturer followed their example. Although many models look rather similar, we do find a special species from time to time, that is, if we only focus on specifications at first. We are talking about the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FX35; an ultra-compact model featuring an optical image stabilization system (MEGA O.I.S.) and a real wide angle zoom lens. The Panasonic FX35 offers 10 Megapixels and a 4x optical wide angle zoom. > Read our full Panasonic Lumix FX35 review.

Panasonic Lumix FX35 Test

Panasonic Lumix digital photography
Naturally, there are many more compact cameras with a wide angle lens, however; that of the Panasonic Lumix FX35 starts at 25mm, and should therefore be considered a genuine wide angle. Panasonic take digital photography seriously, which is not only obvious from the specifications on paper; it also becomes evident when you take an average LUMIX camera into your hands. It has a solid build and Panasonic have taken care of every little detail. It’s a nice piece of design; focussing on both; the appearance as well as the feel. And despite the ultra-compact size of the Panasonic LUMIX FX35, it still feels like holding a true camera in your hands.

Panasonic FX35 camera memory
The Panasonic Lumix FX35 features a 10 Megapixel image sensor increasing the amount of data to be processed and stored. It should not be a problem for the consumer to find a high storage capacity memory card, since the memory market is constantly increasing the storage capacity and lowering the prices. We advise to go for a 1GB storage capacity at the least or to go for the new SDHC memory card with a minimum storage capacity of 4GB.

Panasonic FX35 Review

Panasonic Lumix FX35 review
The Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FX35 digital camera was introduced at the beginning of this year and has been on the market for a while now. The camera belongs to the FX-series of cameras that has been available on the market for many generations. It is striking to see how Panasonic have continued to build up the LUMIX compact camera line at considerable speed, and it seems this progress is far from over. The market segment is growing considerably and this year, for the first time, Panasonic was able to get a number 1 ranking in five European countries. This does not suprise me to be honest, while the clearly rising line cannot escape the consumer and trade market’s attention.
