 Fujifilm IS-1 digital camera wins DIMA Award : In recognition of its excellence in digital imaging innovation, Fujiflm U.S.A., Inc. was honored with a prestigious DIMA award at PMA 2007. The Digital Imaging Marketing Association (DIMA), a division of Photo Marketing Association International, presented Fujifilm with a DIMA Innovative Digital Product Awards for the Fujifilm IS-1 digital camera. DIMA Innovative Digital Product Awards recognize products or services that are technologically innovative or first of their kind. DIMA’s recognition of the IS-1 digital camera underscores Fujifilm’s commitment to creating unique products and rich new technologies that meet the imaging needs of today’s customers.

Fujifilm's IS-1 is the world’s first production point and shoot digital camera capable of taking photographs in the infrared (IR) light spectrum. This unique camera provides law enforcement and scientific departments (often contending with restrictive budgets) with a digital camera that can enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of their operations, without draining too much of their resources.
